Talks
This conversation is part of the series Resilience & Adaptation co-hosted by 1014 and the American Council on Germany.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the importance of science and knowledge has brought scientists even closer to policymakers than ever before – as they collectively try to meet the common public health challenge. This has been true in both domestic policy-making and also in global cooperation.

On July 22, the American Council on Germany, 1014, and the German Center for Research and Innovation New York (DWIH) hosted a conversation with Dr. Esther Brimmer, Executive Director & CEO of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and former Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs, and Dr. Georg Schütte, Secretary General of the Volkswagen Foundation and former State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
